Abstract
The aim of this essay is to study the process of the search for truth in the novel of the Mexican J. Volpi, as an epistemological problem.
The search for truth is viewed as the matrix of the novel and, consequently, the analysis will center on its presence on the narrative level as will as on the fictional.
Likewise, the notion of scientific research is linked to the knightly search, an aspect manifested in the novel trough an intertext, Wagner's Parsifal.
