IMPORTANT: Starting from Wednesday, May 22, 2024, all manuscripts accepted for publication in 2025 must also be published in an English version. This translation must be managed and funded by the authors, as the journal will no longer cover these costs.

The Revista Chilena de Fonoaudiología accepts manuscripts on an ongoing basis throughout the calendar year. The journal operates under a "continuous publication" model.

Focus and Scope

Revista Chilena de Fonoaudiología publishes scientific material related to the sciences of human communication and its disorders. The foregoing includes a wide range of topics related to the difficulties in speech, oral, and written language, voice, hearing, and oral motor skills. The topics can be approached from different perspectives of analysis. Thus, work related to special education, applied psycholinguistics, feeding / swallowing, neurosciences, and cognitive psychology, among others, are also considered.

Revista Chilena de Fonoaudiología accepts original and unpublished articles in Spanish and English, which may include empirical works, systematic reviews, scoping reviews and meta-analyses, case studies, research progress reports, author commentaries, and brief expert opinions

The articles submitted for publication in the Revista Chilena de Fonoaudiología must comply with the editorial guidelines and accept the institutional arbitration process.
